Maybe, I should be thinking of what you would say if I fair badly in my coming viva and exams but instead on this special day I’d like to tell you how much you mean to me and that I really appreciate all you’ve done for me.
There are so many incidents that happened so long back but I can recollect it as though it happened only yesterday. Maybe that’s because most of them just keep reiterating even until now…after all bad habits die hard na….:):):)
I’d like to jot down a few of them. Hope you enjoy this ride down memory lane as much as I did.
I am sure anyone would agree that no one but a mother would react this way….:):):)
Feel proud when I left your hand and ran excitedly for my first day at school.
Feel proud when I left your hand and ran excitedly for my first day at school.
Patiently and intently listen to my stories that I may have told countless times.
Look in awe and praise my paintings, which were actually just scribbling.
For adoring my naughtiness when I used to jump into the freshly done bed.
Hide the cashews in a place where you knew I’d find them.
Listen to the petty squabbles I had with my best friend.
Sign my report card, hoping and believing I’ll do better the next term.
Laugh at the silliest jokes of mine.
Join us in the pranks played on dad.
Search every music store for my favourite music album to gift me on my birthday.
Staying beside me the entire night when I was unwell and making me feel normal.
Knowing me so well and making my favourite dish when I return home sad.
Yell at me when I do something wrong and feel bad later, on seeing me cry.
Felling twice as happy for me during my good times although you were going through bad ones.
Giving a thumb up for my new hairstyle, which really didn’t go with my look.
Calling up and making sure if I was well during all those trips away from you.
Forgiving me and loving me more even after I hurt you with my harsh words.
Having faith in me and helping me prove to a “certain stupid History teacher” about my abilities.
Always happy with the person I am and not comparing me with anyone else.
Giving me a chance to correct my mistakes without having to confess to you.
Without having to look me in the eye and knowing when I tell a lie.
Being able to discuss almost anything without even feeling the slightest tinge of discomfort.
Come to my support when dad scolds me.
Giving me my time and space when I want to be alone.
Taking my suggestions on the dish you cooked positively so it turns out perfect the next time.
Eating the partly burnt sweet dish I made, so I dont feel bad.
Always guiding me towards the right path.
Always being there for me no matter what.
Always being there to hug me and protect me with your care and love.
FOR ALWAYS LOVING ME!
LOVE YOU ALWAYS!
:):):)… HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! ENJOY YOUR DAY! … :):):)
